Expansion of the Rivella AG photovoltaic plant
With the new photovoltaic plant, Rivella AG is implementing a further project from its sustainability strategy, with the aim of halving its CO2 footprint by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2050 at the latest. The system on the roofs of the production facility and the warehouse covers an area of over 3,500 square metres. It consists of 1,700 photovoltaic modules that are connected together. The energy thus generated is fed into the power grid via seven inverters. This will enable the Rivella Group to produce around 700,000 kilowatt hours of environmentally friendly solar electricity per year in the future. This corresponds to the average consumption of 150 single-family homes. With the photovoltaic system, the company can currently cover around ten percent of its own electrical energy needs.
Aare Limmat Elektro AG was commissioned with the planning and execution of the electrical installations on the AC side. The electrical installations were newly installed and correspond to the current state of the art.
