New construction of SBB Regensdorf substation

New construction of SBB Regensdorf substation

The new construction of the SBB substation consists of a switching station building, a frequency converter plant and a 132 kV switchgear. The frequency converter plant in Regensdorf serves on the one hand as an additional feed for the supply network in the Zurich area, which is to provide an increase in power by 2025, and on the other hand to create redundancy for the existing frequency converter plant in Rupperswil. This can be switched off over a larger area with the new plant in Regensdorf and thus converted in a shorter time.
The building was fully equipped with a fire alarm system and various socket outlets. The entire area was equipped with modern LED lighting.

Aare Limmat Elektro AG was commissioned to carry out the electrical installations for the building services. The entire electrical installation was newly constructed and corresponds to the current state of the art.
